Heather said, “I am incredibly honoured to have received an Emergency Services Medal in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2021.The Award recognises my commitment to lessons management in NSW State Emergency Services and the wider emergency management sector. Lessons management aims to improve the way emergency services plan, prepare for and respond to incidents and events. It is not a high-profile role, but one that many emergency services, and other industries, are seeing as integral to continually improving their capabilities.”
