AWE Open Discussion Series – Women in Emergencies for Climate Action

Want to connect, talk openly, and support one another?

Join us for our June conversation about climate action, and the unique role of women, and women specifically in the disaster and emergency management sector, to add their voice and action to the groundswell we are currently seeing in Australia and around the world in taking action against climate change. In early 2022, AWE established a sub-chapter, Women in Emergencies for Climate Action. This group meets monthly and has begun exploring opportunities to add a critical voice to the public arena, stand along side peers and colleagues in advocacy and calls for action, and importantly, support each other in sharing knowledge, resources and ideas for implementing real climate action and change within our organisations.

This open discussion will explore how women can offer a unique perspective and voice to the climate change conversation, and enable AWE members to provide their input into the development of our position and charter for the Women in Emergencies for Climate Action group.

We hope you can join us.
